YES is currently seeking experienced, passionate consultants to support our communications and development efforts. These roles will play a pivotal part in increasing YES’s visibility, strengthening community partnerships, and enhancing our fundraising strategies to expand our impact.

Communications Consultant

Role Overview:

The Communications Consultant will develop and implement a cohesive communications and marketing strategy, amplifying YES’s voice and effectively conveying our mission, impact, and success stories to diverse stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan aligned with YES’s strategic goals.
  • Create engaging digital content for our website, social media channels, and newsletter.
  • Cultivate relationships with local media and community stakeholders to promote YES initiatives and events.
  • Provide strategic guidance on branding, public relations, and crisis communication.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed communication strategies and youth-centered messaging.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and digital analytics.

Development Consultant

Role Overview:

The Development Consultant will provide strategic leadership and support in diversifying YES’s fundraising sources, growing our donor base, and enhancing our overall fundraising effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and fundraising events.
  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support for grant writing and management.
  • Strengthen donor stewardship practices and develop a compelling case for support.
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships and donor relationships that align with YES’s mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, donor stewardship, and fundraising strategy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in cultivating successful donor relationships.
  • Knowledge of best practices in trauma-informed and equity-focused fundraising.
  • Ability to clearly communicate YES’s mission, values, and impact to diverse audiences.
